Map layout 'Pluralia Tantum in Dialects' provides an overview of spatial variability of dialect words used always or predominantly in the plural. The research documented dialect phenomena as grammatical gender fluctuations, grammatical number fluctuations, and fluctuations between declension types. The first four maps focus on selected terms for trousers or underpants. Individual maps present fluctuations between feminines and neutrals and territorial distribution of word-formation types among words formed from the combination of linen trousers or leather pants. The following four maps focus on names of selected diseases – tuberculosis, measles, smallpox and chicken pox. Accompanying text in the map layout and publication has a methodological and explanatory character. The procedure used to create a map of dialect phenomena is unique in its approach; the team of dialectologists and geoinformaticians newly developed a software tool for data calculations. The maps show a representative sample of dialectal specifics of pluralia tantum, presenting several unpublished results.
