The publication is the output of a project entitled “Accessibility in the context of people with disabilities” (IGA_PdF_2021_006), which is another internally closed project within the topic “Adapting the environment for people with disabilities”. Last year’s research project was a primary probe describing all environmental factors that determine the quality of life of a person with a disability and the quality of life of carers. It has been confirmed that one of the most important means of integrating people with disabilities into society is to ensure accessibility. In addition to the technical adjustment of the environment, there is also a need for accessibility of people in a psychosocial context. The structure of this monograph was conceived, which elaborates the attributes of accessibility on a theoretical level. Attention in individual chapters is focused on the given type of disability and its consequences, emphasizing key aspects of accessibility in the context of the disability / specific needs. In the research part, we focused on supporting the accessibility of intact students towards students with disabilities. Based on the above fact, we decided to create work / methodological sheets, the effectiveness of which we further verified in the target group of first and 2nd-grade pupils and selected teachers.
