The study text is aimed at explaining the basic concepts of general systems theory. The first chapter of this discipline deals with a theoretical introduction to the subject and the definition of the basic concepts of systems theory. The second chapter then introduces the reader to the problem of systems decomposition. The third chapter describes basic approaches to systems analysis and systems design. The fourth chapter discusses systems modeling and graphical representation. The final fifth chapter deals with the problem of systems control, both in analogue and cybernetic terms.
